On December 18, 2022, the foundation stone laying ceremony of China Computer Museum of CCF was held in Hengdian, Zhejiang Province.

Huang Shengke, Mayor of Dongyang, presided over the foundation laying ceremony. Zang Genlin, Deputy Secretary General of CCF, introduced the project. Lou Langjian, Secretary of Dongyang Municipal Party Committee, delivered a speech at the ceremony. Academician Mei Hong, President of CCF, announced the foundation laying of the project. Tang Weiqing, Secretary General of CCF, and governers of Dongyang City and Hengdian Group participated in and jointly laid the foundation for the CCF Computer Museum.

CCF Computer Museum Project signed a cooperation agreement with Dongyang Municipal on December 17, 2021. After a year of bidding and design, the conceptual design scheme - "wormhole" was officially released at the closing ceremony of CNCC2022 on December 10, 2022. The scheme is provided by Callison RTKL, a world-renowned architectural planning and design consulting company. Liu Xiaoguang, the architect, once presided over the design of the China Science and Technology Museum, the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum and the China Film Museum.

CCF Computer Museum covers an area of 119.88 mu, with a building area of more than 60000 square meters. It is divided into 3 parts as the History Museum, Popular Science Museum and the Future Museum. The CCM is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
