The Takebe Katahiro Encouragement Prize of the Mathematical Society of Japan is awarded to mathematicians who have contributed to the revitalization of mathematical research through outstanding achievements at an extremely young age.
Assistant Professor Matsui was awarded the Takebe Katahiro Encouragement Award of the Mathematical Society of Japan in recognition of his achievements in the "mathematical analysis of projection methods for fluid problems including pressure boundary conditions."
