Next Generation Ship Operation Technology Development Center Alternative Fuel Ship Group

　The Next Generation Ship Operation Technology Development Center (hereinafter referred to as the Next Generation Ship Center) conducts research on the verification and improvement of new technologies for next generation ships, research on the formation of technologies and rules for safe operation, and research on methods for training personnel to operate next generation ships, with the aim of contributing to the formulation of international rules for next generation ship operation and human resource development. The Next Generation Ship Center is comprised of the Autonomous Ship Group, Alternative Fuel Ship Group, and ShipDXThe Alternative Fuel Ship Group has been organized into three research groups, which are dealing with a wide range of research fields related to next-generation ships. The faculty members to be hired in the Alternative Fuel Ship Group will be conducting research on the operation and management of alternative fuel ships, as well as education and research on human resource development for next-generation ships.

(graduate School)
　In the Graduate School of Marine Science and Technology, Master's Program in Marine Systems Engineering and Doctoral Program in Applied Environmental Systems, the candidate will be responsible for teaching subjects related to next-generation ships and providing special research guidance.

(Undergraduate)
　At the undergraduate level, you will be responsible for teaching specialized subjects for training ship personnel.

• Salary and allowance: Annual salary system.Allowance is paid when the prescribed requirements are met.
• Insurance, etc.: Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Mutual Aid Association (health insurance, welfare pension), employment insurance, industrial accident insurance
• Working hours: Discretionary labor system applied (deemed working hours: 1 hours 7 minutes a day, 45 hours 38 minutes a week)
• Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, and other days designated by the president
• Trial period: 6 month

The following items 1 and 2 must be met. It is preferable that item 3 be met.

1. Must have practical experience in work or research related to alternative fuel ships.
2. Hold a doctoral degree.
3. Have research achievements equivalent to the qualifications to supervise research in a doctoral program at graduate school. (Approximately 20 peer-reviewed academic papers or more are recommended.)

   Separate the categories as "Academic books," "Peer-reviewed academic papers," and "Other," and list the author's name (all authors in the order listed in their books, papers, etc.), paper title, publisher or collection name, volume number, issue number, pages, and publication date.
   *Only works that have been published at the time of application are eligible. Academic papers that have completed review and have a certificate of acceptance may be included.
   *"Peered academic papers" includes full-paper peer-reviewed proceedings. If you are unsure about the criteria, please contact us.
3. Reprints or copies of original papers (up to 5 representative papers)
   *For the final selection process, you will be asked to submit all academic papers.
4. Summary of work experience to date (A4 size, approximately 1500 characters)
5. Your aspirations for research into alternative fuel ships after taking up your position (A4, approximately 1500 characters)
6. Name, affiliation, contact information, and relationship to the applicant of one person whose opinion will be helpful in the recruitment process
